Green Infrastructure Project at MedStar Harbor Hospital

April 4, 2017, 11:00 AM at MedStar Harbor Hospital, Baum Auditorium, 3001 S Hanover Street, Baltimore

The Chesapeake Bay Trust (the Trust), Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Chesapeake Bay Program, MedStar Harbor Hospital, Blue Water Baltimore, and Plisko Sustainable Solutions will host a press conference to announce a Green Infrastructure Master Plan at MedStar Harbor.  From the master plan, nine green infrastructure facilities will be designed over the next year, using funds awarded from the Watershed Assistance Grant Program, a program jointly supported by the Trust, DNR, and EPA Chesapeake Bay Program.  These infrastructure facilities will reduce runoff and flooding on the property.  The project will also create green spaces that can be used by patients and even be prescribed by doctors to allow recovering patients to get outdoors and get fresh air.
